how to clear a flooded engine in an rc car. i am using a trx 2.5 engine. please comment and rate.

I'm helping to rebuild a nitro car and it looks like its been driven into the ocean. The whole thing is dirty, seaweed covers it and the two of us have had to unscrew everything, clean it put it on to a new chassis but first fixed the suspension the servo the diff the crank the fuel pump oh yeah and the drive shaft and several other things so yeah gonna b tough and i have the strangest of feelings that the engine is flooded then we have to put on the chassis and see if it starts........ or not
