It seems that they covered themselves well.

Bush will say "we were acting on legal opinion from the Justice Dept."

Justice Dept will say "we were acting on orders from the President"

Bush was sure to appoint only those who would deliver a favorable result.

Almost everyone had an escape route, except Scooter Libby and Ive not recently seen anything about Karl Rove.

America was never at war with the middle east, that's just nonsense. When were they ever attack by "terrorists" on home soil? Did any US civilian lost their lives to the "terrorists"?
