@Milton754 The accompanist is playing the song in a different key, so it's killing her to hit all the higher notes. That's why she's all 'That organist is DEAD' in the beginning. It's not so much making fun of her singing ability as it is her mannerisms and what would happen if she had to sing in a higher key.

Of course we all know Whitney's 1991 performance was AWESOME and has never been duplicated to that level of perfection!!! Remember, this is a COMEDY show!!! ...nothing more and don't over think this, just enjoy it if you can....and if you can't lighten up a little you'll live longer.

The main point that I am Making here is that Whitney Houston did not mess up the National Anthem, she has one of the greatest renditions of it! And as a black person, I am proud of that. And for this show to parody it as though she messed up is the worst kind of revisionist history!NOW HEAR THIS! If a white comic came on this show and made fun of Whitney being a crackhead and all of the other things they have done on her, us black folk would call it racism! But it's ok when blacks do it? Wrong!

People talked about Whitney's mistakes, so when she did something positive it is wrong for Niggers to take part in degrading them! And Debra is doing what the white bosses of the show said do, so I guess it's a money thing. And for your info, telling me to "Lighten up" is a term that whites use to say to blacks when they were disrespecting them It means "Think White". We use it now, sad!

I do not understand why Madtv chose to parody Whitney Houston on this particular performance of the National Anthem, considering Whitney's version of the Anthem is considered by many to be one of the best ever. I enjoy comedy, but when a person does something right, leave them alone. She's on drugs, she's leaving Bobby...Give Whitney a break!!!!! Especially us black folks! We don't have so many great blacks that we can afford to belittle their achievements. Whitney is famous for her version!

@TValentine1337 Nah the song is being sung in the right key... A major. She is a very good singer but the timing and vocals are off. She is just paying out whitney... she is no doubt causing damage to her voice.
