  • because he's so caught up in w/e else he's doing. I noticed too, like lets say we're about to go somewhere, or we have something to do, he'll get dragged into a conversation with some random person and go on and on, rather than saying "hey, I have somewhere to be, can't talk right now. Maybe sometime later?,"

  • But I'm not sure what to make of his always being late, I don't wait on him when I have important plans, I never rely on him to be punctual or reliable, because I already know, he won't be. But even when I am hanging around him, he can drag things out, it shouldn't take a hr to eat 2 measley sandwiches.... I think he gets caught up in w/e he's doing (usually playing around on YT here), and losses track of time or deadlines, then doesn't make it a priority even when he knows he's late (continued)

  • Like, if I just cut him loose, it would crush him. I'm the closest thing he has to a sibling. And that really seems to mean a lot to him. And in all honesty, he's one of the few ppl who really get me, who I can really relate to in life.... Ironically, while we have similar world views, we can be as opposite as night and day. I'm fast and always on time, he's slow, it takes him an hr or more to finish a meal. I'm warm-weather, he's cold-weather, (continued)

  • Problem is, sometimes I really do wonder if he is trying to fix this issue, he says he does, so fo tons of other ppl who are chronically late that I see commenting online, part of me says (god I hate agreeing with Dr. Phil) "You can't be late 100% of the time unless u make an effort at it." But then I end up feeling guilty, like an arrogant pig. Maybe he does actually have a problem, see this guy is like a brother to me (continued)

  • I have a friend whose ALWAYS late, if he says he's gonna show up in an hour, he'll be there 3 hours later (or longer). And he ALWAYS has an excuse, which I would buy if it wasn't a constant thing. I mean everyone's later *once in a while,* but when it becomes a normality, it becomes frustrating to ppl who have to wait on them, so I don't plan on him ever showing up on time anymore. If I have plans, I am going through with them rather he shows or not (continued)

  • Wow. I need to use this method with my employees!

  • I laughed at the jackals in this NVC, interpersonal mediation at work! Appreciate the play along with the learning this clip might contribute!

  • Haha, I love it!
