Using Apple Loops from an External Hard Drive in Logic Pro 8

You're a life saver my friend. This worked on Logic 9. I followed the advice of "tech" guys in forums saying all I got to do is move the loops to the external drive (which in my case is the 2nd hdd installed in my mbp) and make alias files in the old location (my ssd which is my boot drive)

@munk18 each plug has its own way to deal with it.
Like Trilian you just move and relocate the samples folder within the plugin, Ivory Too. You always have to instal the plugin on the system`s hard drive, but not always the samples. Good luck! (Check manuals)

@rainharlequin actually the process is close to the same as this... you can just simply load all of your instruments in the external hard drive and just route your DAW to that folder and it will remember its location in the future
