This is a series of gameplay vids I'm doing highlighting overlooked games for the PS2.

This game is definitely not for everyone, so take this with a grain of salt.

I really enjoyed this one, but most gamers won't. In fact, most gamers will find it slow, and boring, but if you're a fan of the King's Field games, then this game will definitely be up your alley.

It's made by the same people who brought you the King's Field series, so it shares similar gameplay elements, and like the King's Field games, most gamers either love them or hate them.

If you're into the old first person dungeon crawl, or if this vid seems interesting to you, then check this game out.

A big problem that many may have with the game is that fact that it doesn't support the analog sticks for moving and aiming. It's got the exact same controls as the old King's Field games on the PS1. The only difference it that it does have Rumble support, but yet no analog support. This makes the controls difficult to get into at first, but they're still learnable.

Eternal Ring is only on the PS2.

Also, it was a PS2 launch game, so it's graphics are only OK for those graphics whores out there. In fact, I'd say it's a Dreamcast level, but I've also seen DC games that look better.

  • Is it shit, or isn't it?

Even though King's Field is kind of an underdog classic, it is possible that this is the total garbage as they say.

  • @schtolteheim I enjoyed it. KF is better, but ER is still a good dungeon crawl if you're a fan of KF. The biggest complaint people had against the game was "It's slow!" It's the same complaint they wage against the KF series. The controls do take getting used to because the lack of analog stick control, but if you like the KF series, then this should be up your alley.

  • This was a good game that had a good ring/magic creation system, a good story line, and the graphics were okay for Ps2 games at the time. I would not personally mind a sequel which explains what happens to the Eternal child once he leaves with the main character.

  • This game was cool before the Elder Scrolls brought first person RPGs to the mainstream two years later.

  • Somebody snapped this game at our youth group.

  • this game looks awesome lol

  • @lilsokzmuzic same here even though this game came out when i was in 2nd grade hahahaha

  • aahhh good memories of my childhood!

  • @KeveniveK21

You must have shit taste in games if you hate HR so much.

  • This games sucks hog ass but id still rather play it over deus ex he. At least this game doesnt parade around like a blockbuster hit {THAT SUCKS!) like deus ex he. Game had stupid looking charather models, cities werent really that big to explore, map was total garbage to the point i got frustrated with it and the stealth aspect of the game was pretty much broken cause the people you "stealth kill" go out in a fit of rage making noise giving away your location even though they didnt see you.

  • @Devofone how do you know i was even sayin this games a classic

  • This wasn't really that long ago, but man it seems like ages since I played this. Such a great game at the time.
