@indylre, That's what I like about WAVE's Severe Weather Coverage. When they cover it, they make sure EVERYBODY knows.

@CobraKing619 We almost got hit again on February 5th, 2008 good thing is the tornado stayed south of Brownsville just skirting the southern part of Brownsville next city in path Jackson, Tennessee a tornado emergency was issued for Jackson.
-
@CobraKing619 Did one of the two tornadoes do any damage in Crossville?

We do get Louisville channels down here, but we do have WBKO Channel 13, the ABC and FOX (news and weather) affiliate and WNKY (they just do weather) the NBC affiliate. Despite that, I'm sure Bowling Green has a few viewers who like Louisville's stations better, but I like WBKO while I'm down in BG, and when I go up to the 'ville I like WAVE.

This was the day I was born. :)

I thought Bowling Green was in its own market despite having no VHF stations of its own.

We had an F-2 tornado that hit on the west side of my hometown of Brownsville, Tennessee that hit at 9:25pm at night on April 2nd, 2006 thanks to our tornado sirens and WREG News Channel 3 in Memphis, Tennessee for their warning the tornado destroyed 24 houses and did $400,000 in damage no people dead or injured that was my first tornado i ever been through in 27 years in living in Brownsville, Tennessee.

yes, surprisingly they carry the Louisville market on cable down there because apparently they have issues getting the signal from the Nashville stations due to the terrain.
Wow... Adair county? They do have a massive coverage area... I know one county over from Adair, which is Clinton County is part of Nashville coverage area.

Yeah they touch parts of the Nashville, Evansville, and Cincinnati markets. Alot of it in Southern Kentucky is cable coverage.

I live in Lexington, but I try watching WAVE-TV 3 for severe weather coverage. Basically, I'd rather track storms as they are west of us--plus the equipment they use at Louisville TV stations (esp. WAVE) is a bit more advanced and "real time". A small booster antenna on my TV helps pick up WAVE easily.

amazingly WAVE's coverage area extends all the way up to the Kentucky counties across the river from Cincy. So they cover alot of counties.

They do have a large viewing area though. I am still amazed that they reach all the way to the TN line near Bowling Green on cable. Alot of times people don't realize that. The tower cam shots on this clip are really good. I miss Craig Edwards. I got to see him on Knoxville TV during the big tornado outbreak in April 2006. Reminded me of this coverage.
