The breathtaking arrogance and self-centredness of this world view makes me want to puke. On the other hand I would like to test this hypothesis by asking her to use her psychic powers to learn to speak fluent Japanese within 10 minutes.

What I meant was being able to speak fluent Japanese. That, by definition, means not just parroting a few words, but to be able to hold a conversation easily on a variety of subjects. The word "fluent" is quite specific enough, if it's not enough for you that's because you're an illiterate pedant.

It would indeed be pretty psychic if someone could learn to understand fluent Japanese in 10 minutes. And it will never, ever happen.

This is really cool, but why doesn't he explain how he does all these things? If I tried doing this to somebody, they wouldn't believe shit. Just saying, it'd make more sense if he explains.

And what is so psychic about learning to speak Japanese, I agree that it may be hard but it does not take supernatural powers, not even to learn to speak a few words of fluent Japanese in 10 mins

It would be pretty psychic if someone could learn to understand fluent Japanese in 10 mins though
