Opiate Withdrawal Update Part 4 Getting Off Painkillers

Weening down on painkillers. The battle continues but I will win. Thanks for all the emails and comments guys keep them coming. Feedback/Ratings opinions are encouraged. I just got court ordered rehab for nine months and I dont start till monday should I keep taking pills till then its only tuesday night now and im goin thru withdrawels already and it sucks. I really need one.

Shit man...Fuck it, if your going to rehab enjoy your pills while you can. Hopefully the rehab will give you something like Suboxone or atleast Valium to calm you down. I wish you the best of luck. Drop me a message anytime.

can you get off the methadone without having to take nething else?

I think you can if you have enough will power, but I think having another pill like Xanax, Librium, or Clonidine will really be helpful during the withdrawl process. It just calms you down so you won't have the "Oh my God I'm going to die" freak outs. They also help with the Insomnia, without it, it will be harder to sleep. The good thing about Clonidine is it lowers your blood pressure and aswell as the Xanax and Librium you feel more calm.

Suboxone is very helpful. you are supposed to start suboxone when you are withdrawing; runny nose, watery eyes, leg pain you know the symptomes. The good thing about suboxone is it takes away your pains it is better than methadone because methadone fills all of your opiant receptors which gets you high. Suboxone fills half of the recepters so it doesn' get you high but it makes you feel much better than having nothing. Then you end up weening down. there is also a drug naltrexon-blocks them

On my 3rd day of withdrawl I was looking for doctors thare were licensed to prescribe it but for some reason they werent willing to help me out. They actually told me just go to the emergency room. The doctors I talked to had very little compassion for me. I have a great doctor now, he has me call him every other day to give him a progress report. He's actually a doctor who cares.

i was using IV hydromorphone(dilaudid) for 4 years straight. 4's and 8's. withdrawal was intense but brief. after comin out the other end i felt in control again n started using again. ended up on methadone 50mg daily for 2 years. I kicked it cold turkey and used oxycontin and dilaudid to get off the methadone. ppl dont know what withdrawal is until youve kicked methadone. i climbed walls and shredded beddings. it was absolutely savage. i am now 100% opiate/opioid-free. its possible. just apply.

The best way is to come off them is slow, but it's hard to do when you take your whole scrip in 2 days like me.

metadone over suboxone hands down!!! doctor is correct about the 3rd day of withdraw cause if u still have opiates in system then take the suboxne or the noxolne in it will cause u to go into rapid detox which really really sucks cause its the detoxs magnified x's 10....causes u to go into instint detox ; so for it to help the opiates have to be cleared from ur system!! so the bupornehrine will work....bupor. is in suboxone...but anyhow ya take the methadone!! much better

@shadylo sadly, you're 100% correct. All these methadones and suboxone drugs just delay the withdrawals until you decide you dont want to take them anymore. I wish i would have done it cold turkey and i wouldnt still be on suboxone 4 years after my last use. Kinda wierd how 2 mgs of suboxone gives me the same WD severity as if i were still doing 160mgs of oxy or MS everyday.

were i live i can buy as mutch strong pain killers as i want:( Hard to quit Tramadol 200 MG and oxy 80 mg. I can go in to a pharacy and buy as mutch as i want:( damn hard to quit.

Much love brother. I have been on the oxy rollercoaster ride for about 2 years now. As usual I am running out way early and coming to grips with going through the withdrawals yet again. I wish I would have never seen a 15mg oxycodone pill. I too am going to rid myself of this ball and chain, tired of the withdrawals and am too weak to follow dosage but then again not many can.Take care bro.

So can someone please tell me if im about to try and get clean, and i use xanax during this time, and i have no tolerence to xanax because i dont ever use it, will it still knock me out when i take it and will i be able to sleep? Especially if I smoke alot of really good pot with it and also eat edibles (weed brownies, weed cookies, weed peanutbutter cups, weed candy etc)? I tried xanax when i first was trying pills and it put my dick in the dirt back then, will it still knock me out if im sick
