When change oil, I remove rubber ring from filter and oil it from all sides, than return it in place!

My model R1100s, I do not know when it started eat oil because he came from Germany, and it already was! Year 1999. it eats one liter for 3000. I think it's a lot. The accelerate is quick.
I drive 3 seasons.

@MarkMakarov It depends very much how the engine was breaking in. lately people do it strong and short , way over the RPM limits of producer. Those engines after eat oil. Yours is probably very used up too.

@MarkMakarov sorry for the joke. You should give some info about: How old is Your bike, how much oil it takes per 10.000km, when did it start to take oil? How U ride? How fast ? how do U accelerate and all???
