How many years did it take you to get that fast on the snare? Your playing is making my jaw drop onto the floor... and that's not good because there's cat litter on my floor! Seriously, though, your playing is un-freaking-believable.

@DrummerGrrrl Thank you for your kind words. I'd say it probably took me about 10 years to get to this level, with most of the advanced development happening in the 9th and 10th year. When this video was taken I'd been playing the drums for 25 years. My hands aren't what they used to be as I don't drum every day now but the base skills are like riding a bike.

how long has the hybrid head lasted u if u went through one? and if you havent how long have u been on 1 for and whats its condition like?

Actually, I've yet to go through an Evans Hybrid batter head yet. The one on this drum was put on about 3 days before this competition and hasn't been played on since.
We've used the Grey Hybrids on the corps' drums the last two years and we've yet to have one pull or tear. The heads are still in great condition and we've only replaced them for cosmetic reasons so they match.
