I had a couple clanmates come in for the first two video clips you see here in this vid cuz I couldn't find any goddamn pistols only rooms. So I made my own.
The M1911 handgun, as I explain in this review, straddles a weird gray area between the two sides of the handgun spectrum in Combat Arms, those two being the "Spammable" pistols and the "Power" pistols. The M1911 is a strange blend of the two, but I'd have to say that the gun caters more towards the Spammable pistols due to its overall performance and how its mechanics operate in terms of gameplay in CA.
Rank Unlocked: Private First Class
Cost: 450 GP / Day
Rate of Fire: 35
Recoil Spread: Tighter than most other pistols (excluding the Revolvers)
Recoil Kickback: Noticeably High, not as high as the Power pistols but markedly higher than the Spammable pistols
Recoil Controlability: Surprisingly Difficult due to a combination of slow Rate of Fire and low Ammo capacity, you must learn to control the recoil in order to maximize your usage of the limited number of bullets you have
Tapfire Ability: It's a handgun, enough said
Sprint Drawback: Same mechanics as the Spammable pistols like the K5 and the G23
Draw Speed: Same mechanics as the Spammable pistols like the K5 and the G23
Center Speed: Fast enough for the Recoil Spread to be negligible while firing
Reload Speed: Same mechanics as the Spammable pistols like the K5 and the G23, same reload animation as K5 and M92FS
Fire Modes: Single Fire Only
Luck: Surprisingly High
Ammo Capacity: 7 Rounds in Magazine, 14 in Reserve
Key Physical Characteristics: Smaller than almost every other handgun in CA in terms of size on your HUD
Muzzle Noise: Middle-Frequency but unique muzzle noise
Attachment Options: All available
Fireteam Worthy? No
Quarantine Worthy? Only for its portability, which you can find on other pistols like the G23 and the K5 CAMO
Frank Personal Opinions: The M1911 MEU, more than anything, is meant to be an accuracy pistol. The mix of high damage, high accuracy for a handgun, significantly lower ROF than the other Spammable pistols, and low ammo count all cater to a conservative style of play, making the M1911 very dangerous for one-click jobs and those who prefer accuracy and taking their time in between shots. Honestly speaking, my gameplay style that you see in this review does not fit the M1911 at all, that's why I do not like it personally. But I do see the potential of the M1911, and I will use it occasionally to change up my playstyle from time to time. Overall, it's a very interesting handgun, and I do recommend that you guys give this gun a try if you haven't done so already.
