My first match against another person playing a level 100 human player. Needless to say, I got owned pretty fast. I've never used Omni Air Dash before as I never saw the usefulness of it. Little did I know that it let you get to EX Cores faster than any other kind of air dash. I hear they fixed that in Universal Tuning.

Cloud's a pretty annoying opponent to fight as Squall since their fighting styles are somewhat similar. I definitely learned from this defeat, though. More on that to come later.

  • What I've read is against a human Cloud, you want to wait and punish his mistakes, to avoid him doing that to you. When he's EX-mode the best option is probably avoid him like a plague since his attacks can't be blocked and they hurt even more.

  • Since this fight, I've gotten used to predicting Cloud's attacks and blocking them. This was the first time I'd fought a human opponent, much less one who used Cloud.

As for his EX Mode... yeah. Keeping away is probably the best thing to do. That and countering whenever he's open.

  • That cloud was terrible >_> he used 1 single bravery attack on the ground the whole match.

Nice try atleast, although i fail to see how you lost against him, when he was spamming the same attack over and over again...

  • The problem is that he was good at timing Slash Blow in the air. And for Squall to do any damage, he has to get close. Not to mention that with Omni Air Dash he could get to EX Cores MUCH faster than me. So once his EX gauge got to full, I was pretty much screwed since Slash Blow connects directly into Omnislash v. 5.

Now that I've had more experience fighting human opponents, though, I don't think I'd have nearly as much trouble.

  • I have to admit squal is the hardest to control

  • I don't think he's that hard to control. Once I got used to him I've found him pretty easy to use. I'm pretty used to Free Air Dash instead of Omni Air Dash, though.
