You are trying too hard. This song is calm. It's the father's knowledgeable advice to his son. Make it the mother's , in your case. Let loose. Sing well, but don't overdo it. That's just my oppinion. Then again, what do i know?

You have a loud voice and great diction. My honset opinion you would do better in a play singing rather than singing more modern music. With enough practice broadway could be in you future though. Yet the song sounds stressed when it's supposed to be loose and flowing. Good job though, it IS a hard song to sing I know. I have a video of me singing this, if you listen to it you'll notice the recording sucks because I used my cellphone but hey It didn't turn out to be a total disaster -Rayvin
