June 25th 1995 was a sunny summer day, perfect for watching the steam specials hauled by 70000 Britannia, 60009 Sir Nigel Gresley and 60007 Union of South Africa. The weather was also ideal for track side fires.

  • Aahh, remember those days. Went to watch them turn around at Stansted Airport 'triangle'. My Dad was a signalman at Bishop's Storford, He's retired now, along with the signal box. Happy days.

  • Fabulous..Took me back to the 60's when my pals and I would go train spotting at Bps Stortford Station. The highlight in those days was when the Fenman came through normally pulled by an English Electric Type 3. Happy days.

  • This film gave me the greatest of pleasure

I often see Sir Nigel pass our house.
