i just got my xfx 5750 and q8300, do you think my 500w psu from seasonic is enough? because i believe so ;P, now to MT, do you think that my zalman cnps9700 can cool the q8300 on 3ghz ?

Into your BIOS and turn off the setting that actively switches cpu multiplier. Increase the FSB mhz by 10 every time and test.

Now, what i7 are we talking about, the 920? Ok it may be able to if the 920 is stock, but no way in hell can the P II X4 955 beat the 975. Intel has proven time after time that it can destroy AMD, and this is coming from a guy who has only ever gotten AMD CPUs his whole life and has been disappointed in seeing Intel benchmarks beat AMD. Since the i7 came out there isn't much that can keep up from AMD. AMD used to be king way back when. Now Intel is king.

impressive. right now i am running on a 9400gt, 3gb DDR2 ram, and a pentium D 2.8..and it's terrible. I'm going to upgrade when i get my first check to a HD5770, and then to a new mobo with a q8300. Altogether, my upgrade will cost ~450. This includes:
