Joseph's pride is the story of Big Cat Rescue's newest arrivals. It is very sad for us all to see so many big cats in all kinds of strange situations across the U.S.
Big Cat Rescue is not only trying to take in what we can (in the past six months we have now taken in 6 tigers and 2 lions and a handful of lesser cats) to provide them a permanent home where they can live out their life with respect, but we are also trying to get better legislation passed to protect the big cats still out there.
For more info on how you can help us, as well as info on how you can support conservation efforts for these great cats out in the wild, please check out:

  • but why do they have to live there whole life in their cage shouldn't you guys let them go in the reserves in the places there meant to be to live freely??

  • @nimi118 We wish it were that simple! Unfortunately captive bred cats are very rarely released into the wild and the cats we rescue from backyards and fur farms etc... would never be considered if this were possible because they are cross bred and/or inbred so they don't have good genetics. Plus they do not have hunting skills, associate people with food .....etc.... etc....

  • Why didn't you keep the other 2 cats ?

  • @lltmss Another sanctuary provided a home for them, we are only capable of rescuing so many cats each year due to expenses and room for the animals etc....

see all

  • o fck

  • wowieee!!! that Tigress is SOOO FAT! She looks like the tiger version of James Toney!

  • Gee that lionness at 2:14 is so fat! I had to look at it a few times before I knew what it was..The lions on national geographic surely don't look like that. LOL

  • That's how it should be all the time saveing tigers.

  • @AgentHaun No, cats use their back teeth to grind up their food so they can still eat the same diet as the rest of the cats :)

  • @BigCatRescue are the diets of defanged cats different, mushed up or anything? Poor kitties. So sick that people mutilate these creatures for their own profit.

  • @jesstherocka well said, it's mother nature.. they would have been dead either in the wild or in captivity
