  • when i try to download my computer game

i have a window that always pops up

it says "there is no default application specified to open this document"

then i have 2 choices "cancel" or" choose application"

can some1 tell me which application to use to install my game

    i need help please

  • vmntmn- What type of file are you downloading? If it's an .exe file, it's a PC program and can not be used with a Mac. If it's a .bin file, you need to download Stuffit Expander. Just Google it and download the newest version.

  • But i hear that all windows applications can run on mac. For instance i've seen mac operating systems that have MS office, etc...Then do they install it? because ms office has an exe extension

  • mykeman83- All new Macs can run Windows. There's a few ways to do this (look up Boot Camp, or Parallels), but the computer is actually running the whole windows operating system. Not just the programs. .exe files don't work in OS-X. They do work when the Mac is running windows.

  • hey how do you get those pluggins for quicktime?

  • Google "Flip for Mac" (or "Flip4Mac"). You should be able to find it no problem.

  • I have some probs with MSN messenger as well......after downloading its not going to application folder and each time I am forced to open with the disk image

  • that is one big ass icon

  • of course if i choose to delete it wont allow me until i close Firefox and then it deletes. But this is similar to installing and uninstalling an application every time i want to run that application in windows. So is there a way that that Icon that looks that looks like a external drive does not show on my desktop?

    Thanks

  • hi ,

am new to mac and i have a question in regards to installing application in osX. Similar to you i installed Firefox , but whenever i click on the Firefox icon on the dock, a Firefox drive shows on on my desktop (similar to what appeared in your video on the bottom right).

  • please get a screen recording software! try Copernicus

  • You can drag folders from your OSX desktop into Windows running in the emulator, simple as. Same with Ubuntu etc.

  • By this i mean for instance i can import a video from my camera in xp and save it in the video folder of mac while still running xp by jst using winexplorer or my computer to find the particular folder. And then switch to mac where i can instantly see it in my videos folder and then edit and publish it to youtube. I dont if bootcamp can do that.
