We sat down with a Hindu, A Christian, A Jew, a Muslim and a Unitarian, inside a beautiful Chapel which is also known as Kay Spiritual Life Center at American University. Contemplating that maybe talking to the new breed of this 22nd century might help us find common grounds among the different religions of our world.

  • Great concept. And it's good to see college students learning about one another. I'm sure that it's difficult to fully explain any religion in a sound-byte, but it seems impossible to get even the basic concepts of Unitarianism or Hinduism across in 15 sec clips because their beliefs are so different than what most people are familiar with in religion.

You guys should maybe do something with the Interfaith Center at Johns Hopkins U.; it's only an hour north of you.

  • Fantastic idea Manesh. Do you think you can refer us to someone who can guide us there at Hopkins.

  • You asked why people can't co-exist like they used to back in the day. I feel that, earlier, religion wasnt as clearly defined as it is now. Islam and Christianity were both in a formative stage. Hence, people might have been more relaxed in their views regarding religion. Whereas today, not just religion, but Tradition too has played a role in influencing peoples minds.

  • Absolutely correct. Thats why the Hindus and Muslims of the subcontinant have so much in common.

  • Great video series.

You're invited to join my group called

    RELIGION DEBATE.

  • Thanks for the support. You have initiated a very interesting revolution in the making.

  • Nice move

  • Consider the new testament. The Lord commands us to Love our neighbor and love our enemy. This is truly divine. The koran says allah has no son. Jesus is the Son of God.

Anyone who denies this is the antichrist. mohammed is a antichrist. A child of the god of this world and a child of the father of lies. The koran should never have been written. It was written in disobedience to the scripture the bible commands no more words to be added those who do can't eat from the tree of life.

  • I wonder how you can have interfaith dialogue. The koran says that three choices are to be given to the infidel. Infidel means unbeliever in mohammed. The three choices are.

Pay lots of money and live as a second class citizen. Convert to islam. Or Die by decapitation. I wonder why they don't bring this up in the dialogue. Such insanity is typical of ignorant people. You can not make friends with a false religion. Even if these people were peaceful the koran is not will spawn violence

  • @LuminousAeon " ..where's the Buddhist? lol... Yes, you are right. And they call it interfaith. what a joke. The man is asking Stephine." There was a time when muslims.Christians and Jews have lived together and have coexisted ... why can't we do that now?......." Is he joking ,they have never co-exacted and lived together. Jews and Christians have lived as dhimmis under Islam rule. read book by Bat Ye'or " The decline of Eastern Christianity under Islam"

  • ...where's the Buddhist? lol...

  • Shalom Peace Salaam to everyone

  • I LOVE THIS KUDOS!

  • Sorry I just looked at your Global Crossover website and realized that you might not be affiliated with American U. Either way though, the Interfaith Center at JHU might be a good resource for you.

  • Also every year they host a national conference called "Coming Together" in which they invite students from other schools.

They're very busy sometimes, but if you contact them, at the very least they'll keep you posted on events that American U. students can participate in and you can do the same for them.
