It's hard enough having to adjust your attitude to fit the needs of every personality type that walks through the door. Yes, it is the job of the wait staff to provide great service, and it is the responsibility of the guest to show common decency and sympathy towards someone who's job is basically to be a low-wage slave to idiots.

@kingv911 agreed but too many servers have entitlement issues like being 'angry' for getting a specific kind of water. As far as the kids running around goes, I couldn't agree more. It's a two way system that's for sure. I sure know I don't want to be served by anyone who thinks of their customers as dirt.

I always find that when the server comes up to you, you smile, look at them, say hello, and not be a fucking prick, you get GREAT service that deserves a good tip for the hard work.. I see some people who are complete fuckwads to their food servers.... bad idea....
