yea i am getting one of them from someone whos doesnt want it anymore it is a modelballoon just like your getting but not stars

Ah yes, that moment is quite often re-lived at gatherings of this particular group of friends. We were all so excited that the balloon actually worked. I think at every stage of this research project there's been a "holy f*ing s***" moment. :)

I didn't make this balloon myself. I bought the balloon and gondola from someone in Texas and modified the gondola to fit the cameras and remote control the cameras. The envelope is thin nylon and the gondola is aluminum.

This is my first and only remote controlled hot air balloon. I think the wow-factor is great for my research, but it's not easy to fly over my research sites because of wind.
