..... or, the Princess Royal is in the car immediately behind the bike. The Queen flew in separately by helicopter and the Princess Royal joined up with the Queen and they both cadged a lift in the two Range Rovers from the helicopter pad to the Royal enclosure. Channel 4 showed the two black Range Rovers arriving with the Queen departing from one of the cars.

Correct, Princess Anne was indeed in the first of the 2 Range Rovers, and actually driving it her self as she does most years to the Gold Cup. Bit hard to see in the vid but you can just about make her out behind the wheel.

Apart from security officers, there were no VIP's in the two Range Rovers in this clip. The Queen and the Princess Royal arrived by helicopter and these two vehicles were used to carry the two of them from the helicopter to the Royal Enclosure on the racecourse.
