Blue Angel Diamond takes to the air from RWY 14 at MCAS Cherry Point, May 22, 2010. It should be noted that according to a fan monitoring the radio calls that the Number 6 jet landed due to a bad oil pressure gauge reading. He landed, hopped in Number 7 and was back in formation without skipping a beat.
They always play awful airshow music. It's the same stuff. i wish they would just quit playing that terrible music and let us listen to the radio calls. You wouldn't believe how fast and furious that shit comes — it's unreal. They have to hit specific map points at appropriate times on the clock. Instead they play the same tired old Metal to kick it off. When that one guy had his radio dialed in, I wanted to cut the cable to that speaker so I could hear his radios.
