This is a common method of turning from forward to backward, then forward again. In artistic skating, the front to back move is called Mohawk.

  • @zephyr0479 Similar, but on wheels you not only have inside and outside "edges", but you also have specific axles to weight and unweight. On ice, you shift your weight along the single blade.

    I find that most ice skating turns and transitions will translate almost directly. Spins are a good bit different.

  • i like your videos but what the heck is up with the sound on the camera? it's so hard on my ears especially since you have to turn it up to hear you

  • @devastaticon Sorry about that. We didn't use a video camera. The zoom on this particular camera is terribly noisy. I really need to get something better before we do any more vids, huh?
