im interested in AF firefighting, are there any ANG FF units in South Carolina? and alos, why are you guys in the field training with guns? this is an added bonus to me, i would love to do some infantry-type stuff as well.

@firefighterpm33 do all are wings have a fire detachment?
-
Heck Yeah great choice on putting Breaking Benjamin as your music to the video.
-
not sure what you mean? You can be full time in the Guard, but mostly they are "weekend warriors" if they are not deployed.
as far as "on a jet," there are plenty of "ground" jobs. My husband did logistics (warehousing) with the 175th MD ANG and retired last year.

Nice vid.. My dads 110th FW outta Battle Creek, think he been overthere a few times with your unit.

I was deployed with your SMSgt Fire Chief last year at Sather Air Base...brings to mind the physical fitness standards...yeah, need to say no more.
Good video, although Battle Creek MI 110th Fighter Wing got ya beat for the best A-10 wing...oh wait, getting BRACed and loosing our planes...nevermind.
does the air national gaurd have active duty positions without getting on a jet, another words just ground troops....

If you join the military, you are going to get onto an aircraft at some time. How else would you get around the globe when you get deployed? We are all members of the Air National Guard. Some members how ever are federal techs. which is kinda like being on active duty.
