Freedom of Choice Act - Attack on Religion

The Freedom of Choice Act would force Catholic hospitals to go against their religious beliefs by forcing them to perform abortions. This is not only against the first amendment, but it is just morally evil. Where is the "choice" of the hospitals or the taxpayers funding this murder?

Bishops would rather shut down all of the Catholic hospitals and take the loss than to comply or sell them to abortion institutions. The closing down of 1/3 of the hospitals in the country would have a dramatic effect on pretty much everything this country stands for.

2 Kings 15:16 God allows the pregnant women of Tappuah (aka Tiphsah) to be ripped open. And the Christians have the audacity to say god is pro-life. How and the hell is it that Christians can read passages where God allows pregnant women to be murdered, yet still claim abortion is wrong?

Everything in the Old Testament is on a different level than the New Testament. You don't swipe one verse out of the middle of the Old Testament and take it for all truth. The Old Testament was written to be read pointing towards the New.

Man's creation of a hateful, vengeful God of the bible was getting old and the more evolved man of the new testament wanted a more positive representation of God. It makes perfect sense that if God was make believe, the believers wouldn't push writings that "sound" hard to believe. Tricky situation here. As much as a woman has a right to decide on her own about abortions, the "Catholic" hospitals do have a free choice that can be exercised of their own accord, whether they can or cannot perform an abortion because it is against their religious beliefs.

@quicksiliva The problem that you are having is distinguishing between DESCRIPTIVE history, versus PRESCRIPTIVE history. Many things in the OT are DESCRIPTIVE history of the Jews For example, when God commands the Israelites to kill, Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites (Deuteronomy 20:17). You don't read in the papers how Jews & Christians are blowing themselves up to kill Hittites do you? This was a descriptive historical event of Jewish conquest, not prescriptive

Yes, I can see why the catholic church is against abortion-they will lose so many potential rape victims. Priests won't have as many children to rape, molest and abuse. How can priests say they are for children? Priests are pedophiles-I wouldn't trust one as far as I could throw him. The catholic church is just an old boys club.
