This was part of an excellent series about Route 66 by "48 Hours" back in 1993. They came to the Bloomington Corvette show to do stories about the people who came to drive, show, or sell their Corvettes. We were one of those that came to sell that year, but ended up going on the road tour instead. We have a video of the car and the road tour in our other videos. We were glad we didn't sell though, because we would have missed a once in a lifetime opportunity to cruise with almost 2,000 other Vettes in a '66 big block convertible. It was awesome!

Really pleasantly surprised when I saw the link to this video! I was the Event Director for the '93 Road Tour! I am glad you enjoyed our event, my family and I had a great time designing and executing what was (and possibly still is) the largest automotive participation event in the world. We had officially 1636 Corvettes. That's 12 miles end-to end! Thanks for the memories! Route 66 lives on!
