I first heard this song coming from an open window of a Victorian on Cole Street a block off of Haight in San Francisco in 1967, at night.

The 'Firefly Platform' was the small folk music stage at the back of the One Tun pub, on Goodge Street. Pub's still there, but the stage is long gone.

I've loved this song since the 1st time I heard it, I can't remember where it was, but Donovan was my idol back in the 60's and was really dissapointed with his work after the Sunshine Superman album.
