everyone i figured out why this doesnt work, her video is the right way to do it, but she has the old software, once you update the software, you cannot do this anymore, you will only get the save sound and play, options.... when she made this video it was with the old software

not true. i did record this video with the old software but I just used the exact same steps with the new software loaded in the phone (1.28.02p) and had no problems. remember the file must be small and in the sounds folder.

do you have to have a memory card and texting?

because i recorded a sound on my phone i was wondering if i could use that

yes, you need a memory card (small ones are like $5. no, no texting plan is needed.

it does work- i use my phone on the verizon network. actually this phone is only for the verzion network.

ive done everything but its not letting the message thru? help???....and how long does it take for the message to go thru?

Hi, I followed the instructions to the tee. I also have the same software version,1.28.02P. When prompt to save it, it only allows me to save as sound and not ringtone. Any suggestions?

It didnt work for me. I have this phone flashed to Cricket and tried to send the message but it didnt send. It says "Message sending failed"

buy Motorola Phone Tools, its a great ringtone makin software & u can do other thingz w/ it az well. the way this video iz, seemz like the mp3/tonez are already fixed. w/ the M. P. T. software, u can make them your way, w/o takin the card out. u only need usb

yea, but u should hav the phone tools software as well or the usb will b pointless
