2:03 now I won't have to turn him into something unnatural.... he was thinking it.

It's a shame that Ian McKellum did not play Albus Dumbledore as well. He would have given that character life and dominated the screen the way Alan Rickman did with Snape. He truly was brilliant playing Gandalf -- he was pivotal in keeping the story moving.

Gandi? ha, that's something maybe Gandalf's sweetheart would nickname him. "Oh Gandi! You've brought be lembas chocolates!"nomnomnom

you retard its not Gandi its Gandalf!

I always liked how Peter Jackson had Gandalf act as a narrator for time to time to bring everyone up to speed. These movies simply rule

@soukupb i dont think that they could make a movie of the silmarillion because first of all they are all ready making the hobbit with the little money they have left nd second of all the silmarillion is kind of just history not a story. it has no dialogue. they would have to alter the story

I really really really hope they make a movie about The Simarilion.

OMG why was this deleted from the original? This ties in so much!!!

@Abbiesilk I don't think the uploader is a native English speaker, if the subtitles are anything to go by. Could be "Gandalf" in another language.

@Pilaf1984 Gollum's mind has deteriorated. Part of his closeness with the Ring enables him to have a special relationship with Sauron; he knows him better than gandalf or the elves even, and knows what physical forms he can take.
One can see that SIr Mckellen is one of the good old school Shakespearian stage
actors - you can hear every word he says even though he is whispering. Brilliant acting like that is rare nowadays. Mortensen is also excellent, but in these movies Bernard Hill, Ian Mckellen and Christopher Lee are in a class of their own.
