  • I had the same setup in my 1973 bav for a while, Its more around 205 hp.

  • 205 at the wheels maybe. I had a friend build a head from a 83 with bigger valves, springs, ported and a slightly bigger cam. then I had the block bored from 86mm to 89x80mm. I have not yet dynoed it but should be about 240 at least

  • am I hear the turbo ?

  • Don't know what you did to the motor, but the stock #s for the 1971-73 Bavaria ,3.0S, 3.0CS was 2966 cc, 180 PS (132 kW; 178 hp) using twin Zenith 35/40 INAT carburetors. I put them Webers in that too back in the day and wish I felt 240hp.

  • Ahh. Mine, after we did a swap had a 3.3L from a 533i with 84mm, double weber carbs. 4 speed manual.

Its quite a fun car to play around with.

  • Please tell me those are the 38/38 Webers and not 32/26's
