wow, wave upon wave of goosebumps. Incredible
-
do you know who is the original composer of this music?

Dr. Jonathan Talberg, the conductor in this piece, is an amazing musician and really knows how to shape a choir. I've worked with him many times...and this is what one expects from his students/singers.

I disaree with just about EVERYTHING you've said here. HAHA.
Balance was extremely good! Dynamic, awesome..definitely a 9.8. Pitch 2? Really? You're crazy...are you tone deaf??
This really is the best version I've seen on youtube. These are some really talented, smart musicians!!

Thanks for the comment - I'm glad you can tell how good this was even from this silly little recording, which does CSULB's Spring 2008 choir absolutely no justice. I was stunned at how good they were, which is why I pulled out my camera during the concert and started recording.

it's interesting that they did the ending a bit differently; sets it apart from the rest of the -pretty fast- song. great stuff.

I disagree with alot that you've said here. As far as youtube goes, this is THE best video of this song after UNT's rendition in my opinion
-Dynamics 8? I think the contrast from the beginning to the end of the song has great dynamic contrast. Id say maybe a 9 or 9.5.
-Pitch 2?!?! Seriously??? All the pitches were there...the soprano descant is actually in the music, & I think it sounds amazing. even if it you didnt like it doesnt mean the rest of the pitches were a 2.
I can hear the bass 2's YESSSSSS :D

29/50...your overall assessment doesn't add up to "excellent", as you put it.
I think you better review your own review.
