The profits from this car went to America, although Australian workers built it. Got it everyone? Stop arguing. America AND Australia make some pretty fine cars. Now lets go beat those Germans! (It is unnecessary to beat the Japanese as they build crappy cars. Only time is needed to beat them.)
-
@ChadTaylorCanDoIt GM bought Holden Toyota was always Japanese.
-
@NakedSnakeBlGBOSS I dont see your point in you comment considering that Holden and Opel are both GM divisions. Yeah people say certain platforms were "developed" by holden or Opel, but its still GM building and engineering the platform; just a different division or arm of it.

i rode in one of these cars. simply incredible. fast as shit and sticks to the road like glue. GM built a winner like this and then kills pontiac a couple of years later?? makes no sense. the saddest gm division to disappear is pontiac followed by Oldsmobile. who cares about saturn, saturn made mostly crappy cars and didnt have the history or legend of pontiac or even olds
-
All other car commercials suck ass compared to Pontiacs.
-
@ChadTaylorCanDoIt So by your logic, any Chrysler or Dodge isn't American, it's Italian. And Hummers are Chinese. And Aston Martins are Indian?
-
@ChadTaylorCanDoIt toyota camry is also made in australia
-
@2fast4all what do u mean dead? Holden still sell the g8 (Holden Commodore). They were selling commodores back in the 1950's.
-
GM had nothing to do with the commodore thus the Commodore is Australian. Yes, the V8 engine isnt Australian but its not even american either.
-
more like the 1st and last ever G8.
General Motors owns Holden

When the company that makes the car and OWNS the Australian company is an American company. The Toyota Camry is made in the U.S., but it is still a Japanese car.
