2. Procedures for depressurization or explosive decompression is immediate emergency decent at a high decent rate to an altitude where people can breath (typically 10,000 feet). Airliners are built today to be built in grids so that if there is only a crack in one, only one section blows out, which is what happened here.
3. Southwest has already voluntarily taken out most of its fleet for through airframe inspection
southwest should ground all 737-300 which didn't go thru all skin replacement. everyone in aviation knows these aircrafts aged more than 20years. i don't know why FAA let them fly.
Where is the government of the United States why do they permit this airline to keep on flying this isnt the first time this thing happen when will they take care of the passengers Im so disappointed and scared I do not believe in my government anymore are they gonna stop them until we have a real crash???? Im so sad...
Free bags anyone? yeah but they will have a crap maintenance, low cost come with a price!!! well, keep on flying with them people Im Keeping Continental Airlines as my favorite and only airline go Continental!!!

@dendir 20 years is considered by the industry as middle aged. 30 years is generally when aircraft are decommissioned.

@maria121224 It's not the goverment's job to take care of passengers! If you not happy don't fly or go complain about to "Southwest"
