Hello Betty,
Thanks for this! I only recently tried hearts of palm for the first time and I was looking for ways to use them so I think I will give this a go! In the meantime I'll check out some more of your videos for great ideas! :-)

If you're not dieting
Add some fritos or corn chips into your salad
It makes it crunchie and gives it a unique flavor

Looks delicious as always Betty - thanks!

I love your delicious channel!!!
Hi Betty
Love hearts of palm. Like artichoke hearts I forget how much I love them. I will have to go out an pick some up. Thanks for the video! P.S, your "field trip" vids are great, I've mentioned that before, though they really are quite interesting.. Any plans for more in the future? Hopefully so.
Have a great one!

I have actually never heard of hearts of palm, what is it? I assume it is some sort of veggie?
DLP1962 1 year ago
@DLP1962 Hearts of palm is a vegetable harvested from the inner core and growing bud of certain palm trees (notably the coconut, Palmito Juçara, Açaí palm, sabal and pejibaye palms). It is costly because harvesting in the wild kills the tree. Heart of palm is often eaten in a salad, sometimes called "millionaire's salad."

Fantastic salad Betty, i must try this , esspecially the dressing...How long would the dressing keep for in the fridge? x

@NinaLuvsFriedChicken With the oil and vinegar serving as preservatives, this would be good for a week or so. I hope you enjoy it!
