Dell inspiron 1520 screen problem NEED HELP...

Here is my dell inspiron 1520 its screen is continuously flickering alot and when I leave it open for a while it starts burning from down right corner and when I open my laptop it creates some weird kinda sound aswell from that down right corner when I shut it down and open it after a while the becomes ok again but with 2 to 3 minutes it starts burning again and keep flickering, I don't know what is wrong with this. I bought new vga cable and changed it but didn't worked was same like this with new cable too now im thinking whether it is inverter or lcd's backlight or lcd itself. Guyz if anyone has any experience what is wrong with this then please help me and tell me what should I do

I have had the same problem yesterday with my dell, been using it for 5 years and nothing happened? can u tell me if the power inverter was the issue or is it the screen? when i open my laptop i notice the smell coming from the 2 usb ports near the power plug and notice a high pitched noise is that what u r experiencing?

@RedXization NOW THIS PROBLEM IS SOLVED AS I HAVE CHANGED INVERTER AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING PERFECTLY NOW.... SO I THINK YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR INVERTER TOO ITS NOT THAT EXPENSIVE SO EVEN IF IT DOESN'T WORK STILL ITS WORTH TRYING BEFORE BUYING A NEW SCREEN....

i must have replaced a thousand or so Dell laptop monitors and it sounds like the power inverter, best way to tell is if you have another monitor to plug in the external video port. if no lines on the external then 95% chance it is the power inverter.

I lost faith in Dell monitors after mine died only a week after fixing it. I bought a new SyncMaster E1920 and love it. I hope you figure out your problem before it sucks your wallet dry.
