LSU Wind Ensemble and LSU Symphonic Winds start off Tigerama. This is the third song in the program and is conducted by Frank Wickes. Sit back and enjoy as Tiger Band joins the ensembles. The performance is unbelievable when you are sitting in the PMAC at the concert.

  • My eyes have seen,my ears have heard, the

GLORY OF THE LSU MUSIC DEPARTMENT!

WOW! As an Alabama football fan,I ALWAYS

recommend the Bama/LSU game as THE

best game to see in person! Because even if

    the game itself is UGLY/LOUSY...ETC.

THE HALFTIME IS THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY! I'VE ALWAYS ENJOYED THE

    GOLDEN BAND FROM TIGERLAND!

    THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!

  • Thank you for your wonderful words. This is the highlight of every Tigerama! It is always a joy to watch 1st timers as they experience it in person.

There will be a Pep Band at the LSU/Bama Game,so no halftime performance. Thank you for enjoying our LSU Tiger Band.

  • not the same without the old guy narrator like when I was there in 1987-1991.. He made it so much better!

  • For what it is worth this was Leo Honeycutt's first year doing this.

  • I don't know whether to scream with excitement or cry in the powerful beauty of this interpretation. When the added brass feeds into the auditorium and blows the roof off - I feel I am in the presence of the Voice of God declaring that he himself has blessed our our Sovereign Nation! This speaks to me on so many levels - Thank you for this moving performance.

  • We are doing this song this year and I love it I play the trumpet it was kinda difficult to learn but now i know it its so fun to play! it was hard cause i got french horn part on trumpet for like the last 15 measuers! and that was after i knew the trumpet part!

  • This is one of my favorite hymns that I've been singing in church since I was a small boy. One year in marching band, in the late 70's, we played it for the Memorial Day parade. The fanfare, played by brass, sounds so cool. I've never understood why this hymn isn't used more often. I bet this was amazing in person.

  • tiger band freshman here. this song was amazing to listen to backstage. if only they would let the sousaphone players play with the rest of tigerband...

  • Having played in the Wind Ensemble and done God of our Fathers several times at Tigerama, it truly brings back great memories watching this video. Nothing cooler than when the Tiger Band brasses join in for the chorale at the end.

  • This is incredible!

You guys have a second concert band most universities would be proud to call their first band!

  • How did it go?
