Video Recensione Compaq Mini 700

netbooknews.it - Today we present the Compaq mini 700,the new netbook created by hp compact.

Its about a new model with a 10 inch display, atom processor, 60 Gb hardware and windows XP home installed.

Lets take a closer look at it:

The design is one of its strong points, the thickness is about 2.5 cm and the weight is a little more than 1 kg.

On the right side we find one of the two usb ports, the current collector, the Ethernet port covered up by a rubber cap and the connector for the video output, that however needs, to be used, a specific adapter.

Its the same for external microphone and earphones: theres only one output for both and its necessary to use an headphone alike that of the mobile phones.

On the left side we find the other usb port and the card reader 4 in 1.

Instead, on the front side we find two buttons: the on/off switch of the netbook, and the on/off switch for the wi-fi/ Bluetooth cards, with a colorful and all-bright led to inform of its working.

At the bottom have its place the thin three cells battery and the door to increase RAM.

The peculiarity of this door is the click opening, very simple and that doesnt imply the removal of screws.

It is worth to point out the presence of a slot for sim cards, that however come to naught because of the lack of an inside 3g modem.

Apart from the design , the most well-appreciated feature of this Compaq mini 700 is the keyboard, that with its wide and flat keys is one of the best types ever tried; indeed, you can succeed in writing without difficulty since the first use.

The screen is the glossy type, peculiarity that makes it very brilliant and luminous, but cause trouble for using it in the presence of a bright light source, for example in the open air.

Webcam and inside microphone are on top of the display; instead, below we find the speakers, high-quality and having a sensible volume in regard were talking about a small device.

The led show the functioning of some keys.

Like Ive already said, the Compaq mini 700 is furnished with windows XP and Microsoft Word pre-installed.

The operating system and the technical specification enable to easily do all the classical operations for this type of device, like browse the Web, write Office documents, videocall with Skype and a basic multimedia.

Its certainly about a great product, maybe the best in the eyes of the aesthetic among the several netbooks available in Italy.

Its a pity that the hard disk is not as good in performing and capacity as the contenders and that theres not a Linux version.

The Compaq mini 700 is sold for 399 euro, and the only color currently available is black.

Sarei interessato al divano che si vede nel video...o almeno alla coperta che è sopra di esso.....assomiglia a una che avevo da bambino quando per farmi passare l'influenza adragante me la mettevo attorno.
