@tylorsalonia Nah check out the size of that engine, it's got a tall tank in it. Probably 1000+

Very nice work by that Engine Company, smooth and calculated fire attack. Proper gear and technique, this would make a great training video. Now it obviously doesn't show it in the video, but I wouldn't be surprised if they only had to use tank water, which is another sign of good technique. And to the people commenting on "how slow" they were at responding and attacking the fire, y'all have no clue; a totally lost vehicle is NOT worth an injured Firefighter or a wreck from a "fast response."

Some duct tape and alittle bondo that RV will be good as new.
-
jeez the power behind those fire hoses ,,, see it belting that fireman backwards ,,,,,respect

The first time I saw and heard a pop-off valve activate on a burning tank, I nearly shit my bunker pants! I wasn't right for the rest of the shift!

@apoure25 I know where the Key Largo Fire Station is located. There's not that much traffic in that area. They should have gotten there a lot sooner. I never said Fire Engines were magic.
-
@moviemagg A couple minutes? Fire engines aren't magic, they have to get there just like any other vehicle on the road, granted they do have lights and sirens.
-
Slow? perhaps 3 minutes?
-
did they put that out with 500 gallons? or did they hook up to a hydrant
-
Why such a slow response time by the local Fire Department. Were they waiting for an invitation?
Thats NOT a "Leaky" propane tank putting everyone in DANGER....
The SAFETY valve was working properly. It's DESIGNED to "Cook off" and it did that very well. When the tank gets close to its rated pressure the valve lets the fuel out at a controlled rate and it burns off without exploding. THIS IS NORMAL!

Thanks for clarifying this. But even with this safetly valve I would still say this is a dangerous situation considering the gas tank,

@UltimateChase Don't worry about the gas tank either. Gasoline doesn't explode in a fire. The heat just makes it boil, vapors escape via the vent, and get burned off. Gas needs to be in vapor form, and compressed, to explode. That's how an engine works. Liquid form, it just burns. Especially, once the fire is already burning before the vapors build. Introducing fire or spark to the vapors, causes explosion. Introducing vapors to fire, makes hotter and faster burning fire.
