Frankie is still upset that Christy kept Douglas's autopsy from her. Christy says that she can't talk about blood, and she doesn't like to think about what they're doing to Douglas's body. Frankie says she was very shocked by the news. Christy asks if Frankie doesn't approve, and Frankie says that's not it. Christy asks what it is, then. Frankie understands Douglas's generosity in leaving his body to science so that maybe the doctors could find a cure for somebody else. What Frankie doesn't understand is why Christy couldn't tell her about it. Christy asks why Frankie is doing this. How was Christy supposed to know the doctors would find something in the autopsy that would make them think Douglas didn't die from his illness?

Any further conversation on this subject is curtailed when Cass arrives home from Felicia's intervention. One look at Cass, and Frankie knows that things went badly. She hurries to him, and calls him "baby," and they hug tightly as Cass says he's lost Felicia. Christy looks a bit crazed at the sight of Cass and Frankie embracing.

Cass tells Frankie and Christy that he feels like his best friend died today, as insensitive as that sounds. Christy replies that there's nothing worse than when a friend betrays you. Christy can't even imagine Mary Frances turning on her, or her turning on Mary Frances, but sometimes circumstances get in the way of everything, even old friends. Frankie says she's heard about interventions from other people, and even though they're terribly difficult and painful, the person who needs help eventually does ask for it. Cass tells Frankie he doesn't even know how to describe it to her. It was so final. There was no room in Felicia's heart for him or Rachel or even her own daughter. Christy says that someday Felicia will see that Cass, as her best friend, was only trying to help. Felicia might not ever believe Cass was right, but she'll know that Cass had her best interests at heart and she'll forgive Cass, isn't that right, Mary Frances? Darryl calls then and asks to speak to Christy. Darryl asks Christy to come to the hospital to discuss Douglas's autopsy results, and she agrees to be right there. Christy tells Cass and Frankie that Darryl has something to tell her about why Douglas died, and she'll be there later if they want to talk. After Christy leaves, Cass asks what Christy means about "why Douglas died" and what's going on. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
