"the will which propelled the United States to be first in space, first on the Moon" Really, the US, first in space? Not in anyway... other than the moon haha. Honestly you really can't say the US is the clear leader (even 3 years ago), they launched a few times more often a year, but the Russians have almost just as much money in the space station as America does, and that's really all that we're seeing right now in terms of manned missions.
