If the environmentalists had this guy's brains and knowledge, most environmental problems would be solved. How come there are so few reasonable, responsible people when it comes to these important issues? Most concerned people are kooks and fanatics like Greenpeace, Daryl Hannah and thousands of others, who only have a zero tolerance for any development and no realistic solutions - only CAVE people (Citizens Against Virtually Everything). Good on you Dr. Moore - you're the best.

He is simply wrong about climate change. It turns out Global Warming is much more severe than the IPCC predictions. Sad but true, earth is in a state of positive feedback moving toward a state 5 degrees C hotter. If we continue burning fossil fuels, we will overshoot even that hot-house.

There is something not quite right about this man's message: the people who pay him have particular agendas which place profit before environmental considerations in an unbalanced way. While on the one hand he says he's in favour of increased forestation, yet he worked on legitimising the operation of a company which deforested native Sumatran rainforest. His justifications don't add up. And he doesn't debate.

Only problem is that he's totally wrong about electric cars. Other than that, it's quite good and reasonable.

Energy density of batteries - about 150Wh/kg

Energy densiity of diesel - about 13,000Wh/kg

Attempts to persuade us that this difference doesn't matter is not gonna work. Even if electric cars were 100% efficient they can't replace gas or diesel because they can't store enough energy. batteries will have to get 30 times better to even start competing with ICEs.
