@ShodanZombocom I thought about that too. My suggestions are respawning random ship from what player has afetr 5-15 or pausing the game until new ship is chose which may be irritating if 2 or more ships blow in short time.

You know if this was ported to the playstation 3 under a budget title i reckon it could do well.

i would give my right arm for true sequal of star control with precursors androsinth and burvix and new millieu or some new mine layer race.... just need some story with time mix to have all races in same universe............... single mission is astounding

do you have something that forces players to respawn after a period of time?
it looks to be that now a player can lose his first ship and sit there while everyone else fights

Damn, I wish this could be put up on XBCG! I'd buy this! Perhaps changing the sprites and sound effects would make it legal to sell? I'd kill for an XBL online supported Star Control melee combat clone!
Can you put those backgrounds on the single player?
You should join those guys who made the UQM freeware thingy for WINXP.
I would overhaul the graphics for the entire game, higher res, reflective surfaces things like that get more people interested with a bit of eye candy.

This version doesn't include single player (its too much work)
I would help those UQM guys, but I think that game is pretty much done. Only thing I would add is some kindof net-game lobby but I dunno how to do that.
