This video demonstrates a method for producing a compressed package of non-adherant roller dressing using an inexpensive vacuum bagging system.

My Level II First Aid Kit Review will be up after the first of the year. My kit is undergoing some improvements and an upgrade which reduces bulk and size. As time permits with my work schedule, I will post a series of short videos documenting the upgrade process.. The final video or two will be a review of the entire kit.

  • Awesome bud. I was wondering , about the excessive unused Ziploc bag. Have you been able to use that as well? if so, can you show us, subs, in another video. thank you ;-)) Cheers

  • @MrBushLife - I have reused the used portion of the ziplock bag . . . but for practicality not really worthwhile.

If you scroll down you will see me responding to satansmusic2009 who asked if celox is better than quickclot. I responded.

    Duh...

  • @agun17 - celox vs quickclot gauze vs granules has no relation to this video or the conversation so not sure what you are talking about or what you are referring to as related to the video.

  • @USNERDOC

I was comparing celox vs quickclot gauze, not granules.

  • @agun17 - you have your dressing materials confused . . .

  • Hi I did the same thing when preparing for my coban bandage. Pressing it and store it in small zip lock bag. Pressing the coban bandage also crushed the carton inside and make it easier to pull out leaving you with the bandage it self and a more compact form in storage.

  • That is one slick idea DOC !!!

  • @satansmusic2009

Celox is better because it's bioabsorbable and it's also useful for burns.

  • Hi USNERDOC,

Love your method of carry first aid. But would you mind we ask what brand of heat sealer are you currently using? And how you like it so far? Thank you!
