After months of deciding which Intuos4 I was going to get [and saving $ (that I could have used at the bar)], last month Wacom came out with news of this wireless version. I was trying to wait a little longer for reviews but decided, it was time. I got the Wacom Intuos4 Wireless PTK540WL this afternoon and I couldn't wait to unbox this bad boy. Funny 'cause I don't have a USB/Bluetooth dongle to accompany this. Hmmm, I guess I will make another unboxing video when that gets here!

  • I havent had problems with mine at all! Why what's going on?

  • I just opened up my package today and I'm confused about the customization rings.... what are they for? What am I supposed to do with them? -_-

  • @YPSweet

You mean the ExpressKeys and Touch Ring?

  • I'm guessing you are talking about the Intous4 without wireless which is still a lot more than the Fun. The Fun has half the pressure, almost half the price but has some cool swipe and finger features. The Intous4 has 2048 levels of pen pressure but no swipe and finger features.

I would compare it with Photoshop and PaintShop Photo Pro. One's virtually unafforable with detail control while the other is more for the general public who doesn't need all the expert features.

  • @AcuteAngelito What I would do is if this is going to be your first board, go with the Fun. If you like it or need something with more pressure, sell it on eBay and get the Wacom Medium. Who knows, maybe by that time they will have the Wacom have the Fun features and vice versa.

  • Just a question, isn't the dimensions on that one slightly smaller than the medium?

    look at their site!

    I don't know which intuos4 I should get.

  • @dindush1 The active drawing "screen" is smaller than the medium (and you don't get a mouse). What really sucks for me is that I still use a 4:3 monitor. It's a hard trade off, wireless freedom versus drawing screen size and mouse. I went with wireless and I've never looked back; it really does have a different feel (wireless). Check out reviews from Amazon and etc.

  • hey, did they fix the usb port problem on intuos4 in these wireless version??

  • @AcuteAngelito No, I meant those small red, white, grey rings in that small plastic zip bag. It's alright, I got my answer while playing around with the pen. ;)

  • Wow, I didn't realize how big the wireless was.

    that's awesome :D
