How's that funny? I seem to remember him beating the so-called "Greatest goalie ever" Patrick Roy 2 years in a row in the West Finals, and then beating another "Amazing goalie" in Hasek. Even though he lost to Brodeur, you still have to rank Belfour right up there with Roy, if not ahead of him. Roy had more wins, but The Eagle had wayyy more incredible seasons.

Eddie was 25 in his rookie year, can you imagine how many wins he would have had if he started young like Roy, lets not forget the miserable blackhawk teams he played for his last years there. Like him or not respect the fact that he was just about 16 games away from being only the 3rd goalie ever to hit 500 wins and turned down backup offers this year in the league so he can play as a number one in sweden. Respect.

His saves were ahead of his time. no one did saves like him. people copied his style. i think he brought bringing the paddle flat to the ice to the mainstream. he was great with chicago.
