Chapter 130: Dad's Order (5/10)

Kevin's P.O.V.

"Hello?" I asked as calmly as I could.

"Kevin, it's your father. I'm calling to see how you handled Nicole for what she did down in Puerto Rico," he said.

"Nothing yet sir," I told him. That was definitely not the answer he was looking for. Joe and Nick were listening to my side and watching closely.

"And why not?" he asked angrily.

"I'm not sure what to use," I told him truthfully. He sighed on the other end. What he said next, I was not expecting at all.

"You're using the strap on her bare bottom," he said.

"W-What? Dad I can't," I said.

"Yes, you most certainly can," he retorted. I swallowed the lump in my throat. "You can easily deliver 30 licks to her bottom for what she did."

"You said never more than 25 on the first infraction," I argued. "And I can't do it Dad, I just can't."

Nick and Joe were clueless, because they would never think of Dad even considering the strap to punish Nicki.

"Fine 25. If you say you can't do it, I can do it when we join you on tour in a few days...and you can expect to be right beside her for disobeying me. It's your choice Kevin," he threatened.

I had to do it. I know that Dad is a lot harder than I am. I don't know how I would do it, but I had to. I took a deep breath, looked away from a desperate-for-information Joey and Nicky, and answered.

"I'll do it," I said in as firm a voice as I could.

"Good. Bye son, love you," he said.

"Love you too," I said, and we hung up.

"What'd he say?" Nick asked immediately. I looked up at him with tears in my eyes. Just the thought of having to strap Nicole was making me cry. Nick grew scared at my expression.

"The strap," I whispered.

Joe and Nick's eyes grew wide. They both started to shake their heads back and forth quickly. "No, no, no, no, no, no, NO!" Nick roared.

"I have to," I said.

"Why? Give her the belt, not the strap please!" Nick begged. I looked away from his tear filled eyes.

"Nick, it's either me or Dad. Who's harder?"

"Dad," Joe answered. "I understand Kevin. And I can tell that he threatened to spank you if he was forced to do it. But you didn't say it because you didn't want to get spanked too, you said it because you know Dad is harder. I understand."

I looked at him gratefully. Nick had begun to cry. He was torn up by the fact that his twin sister would be getting her first strapping. I looked down at him, and he scrambled into my lap.

He buried his face into my shoulder, and I hugged him tightly.

I comforted him until I heard his breathing slow, and he went limp. I picked him up carefully and took him to his bunk. I kissed his forehead, then closed his curtain. I checked on Nicki before joining Joe back up front.

He was staring out the window as the streetlights and other late night travelers flashed by. I sat down next to him, and he layed down. His head landed in my lap, and he looked up at me. I gave him a wry smile.

"It'll be fine Kevin. Nicki will understand," he said.

I hope he's right.
