This is my just restored 1969 Honda Z50 K1 mini trail. The build date was 12/69 and the restored date was 12/09. 40 years later it's new again.

  • Also as a Navy veteran, I as well believing in supporting the troops! :)

  • @1psuviking Well sir thank you very much for your service.I tip my lid to you! I have two sons. One Navy and the other Army. Check out the vintage pedal cars I did for them here on my channel. One is a boat and the other is a Jeep. Stay well. Great hearing from you.

  • @SmokyPondFarm If you had a "69 model it would have had the head light and tail light missing. Head light and tail light was added in "69 and with a battery. There has never been another year where the Z50 had a battery other than "69. 1968 was the first year for the Z50 mini trail.

  • @7863348 I forgot to mention that ours was saphire blue also. I wish I still had it. All I have from it is one of the clear stickers from the top of gas tank. It's still stuck to the garage wall of my other home (the one I grew up in), right where I put it in 1968. BTW, I know that we bought it in September '68, but it didn't look like the '68 models I see on the 'net. It had a '69 color and winged tank emblem. Could it have been a '69 model?

  • @36bufbarnaby I've heard this before but as luck would have it mine as a kid didn't crack and it should have because I'd ride two up with the girls lol

  • @SmokyPondFarm Your right about the price. That was about the price of them up here in Canada as well. I couldn't wear mine out. Loved the little bike. I just had to find this one to restore. Glad you enjoyed seeing it. Thanks for your kind words and thanks for taking the time to comment, Ride safe!

  • I had one as a kid...the frame would always crack.

  • Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for bringing back the memories! My brother and I bought one new from the Honda dealer in Warren, Michigan. As I remember, the purchase price was $249 plus tax. Imagine that! Again, thank you for posting.
