Based on the novel by Upton Sinclair, this is a video of a possible movie trailer for the book. For those that don't know, The Jungle talks about the life of a Lithuanian immigrant that comes to Chicago during the industrial revolution that occurred within the city. The focus of this book is on this immigrants life, and it exposes the harsh realities of the people who lived in poverty.

I would love to see a good modern movie based on The Jungle. Because in the end Jurgis, personally, did win. The hope for a socialist revolution was his victory.

This is my all time favorite book aside from the Bible.
Has this book been turned into a movie?

Right I think they should make a movie about this! This novel is what made America today in the meat industry. The movie would be so awesome! Some one really needs to put it out there!! And soon!

Awesome job. The Jungle is the American Les Miserable, and if they can make that into a successful (oscar-nominated) movie, why not? Out of the political action raised as a direct result of Upton Sinclairs's 1906 novel, the meatpacking went on to become highly unionized and highly safe, and a very good job! Until... ah, yes, we're back there today. So it's time to make the movie.

When will American filmmakers remake Upton Sinclair's Jungle? In our hard time, we need real American classic!
