  • Thank you ladies and gentlemen. Obama touched me on a personal level and he speaks for me "we are one people" and "we are more alike than we are different". I am so tired of the hatred and division created by our current administration.

  • La union hace la fuerza. Let's ALL support Obama. And may he always remember immigrants - all immigrants. Si se puede!

  • lllC: Are not Muslims human beings? Is not one still patriotic if they do not support killing of innocent women and children in Iraq? I believe there is one race: the human race. I call people by names they were given by parents. I do however respect other's rights to label themselves how they wish.

  • I was born in Peru 74, lived in Brasil 80-84 and legally in the US since then. I have been a permanent resident since 92 and never connected with any of the past presidents (clintons) and lacked interest in the elections. Since I saw Obama speak at the Democratic National Convention it all changed and I have now applied for citizenship after 11 years of eligibility just so I can vote for Obama. I made my financial contributions and signed up to volunteer.

    En Obama creemos!

  • Obama una verdadera oportunidad de cambio y esperanza

  • It is a response from our community to the word Hispanic forced upon us by the Nixon administration because they didn't know how to categorize us. Many in our community dislike the word hispanic because it means "from Spain" which brings the independence gained into question. And to answer your question, we're not all American. By continuing to call ourselves American, we are only assimilating to this culture and losing our roots in the process. Funny thing what a name could do...

  • I hope this same coalition gets together and kicks out the former testosterone filled up Schzwartzenegger, imagine the actual californian governor talking against immigration, what is he? he is also an alien, a white alien but an alien anyways, who gives him the right to say who is an immigrant and who is not?

  • The "division" you express hatred for is perpetuated through false, symbolic categorization based on undefinable culture or ethnicity. Tell us what exactly is a "Latino"? Are we not Americans and isn't everyone tired of hyphens?

  • si se puede
